Efficacy of Ayurvedic Herbs in Glycemic Control: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

This comprehensive review examines 45 clinical studies on the efficacy of common Ayurvedic herbs used in diabetes management, including Gymnema sylvestre, Fenugreek, Bitter Gourd, and Turmeric. The meta-analysis shows statistically significant improvements in fasting blood glucose and HbA1c levels across multiple studies, with particular efficacy noted for Gymnema sylvestre and Fenugreek.

Panchakarma Therapies in the Management of Diabetic Complications: Clinical Outcomes and Mechanisms

This study evaluates the effectiveness of specific Panchakarma procedures in addressing diabetic complications, particularly neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy. The research includes data from 120 patients who underwent customized Panchakarma protocols over a 24-month period, showing significant improvements in neuropathic symptoms, kidney function parameters, and stabilization of retinopathy progression in a majority of participants.

Dosha-Specific Dietary Interventions for Type 2 Diabetes: A Randomized Controlled Trial

This randomized controlled trial compared the efficacy of personalized dosha-specific dietary recommendations versus standard diabetic diet guidelines in 180 patients with Type 2 diabetes. After 12 months, the dosha-specific intervention group showed significantly greater improvements in glycemic control, weight management, and medication requirements compared to the control group, highlighting the value of personalized Ayurvedic nutritional approaches.
